Betty L. Myers

Betty was born September 22, 1933 in Dumas to Claude and Mattie Rains. Betty went home to be with her Lord on October 16, 2013. She graduated from Dumas High School and then attended Draughon’s Business College. Betty was a Diamond Shamrock employee for 28 years before her retirement. Betty was a dedicated and active member of Trinity Baptist Church for many years. She belonged to the Hearts of Faith Sunday School Class and also Trinity Quilters. As her foundation of a true Christian woman, she was always there for her church friends and her many, many friends. She had a loving spirit and a great sense of humor. Playing canasta with her four Shamrock friends was a fun challenge for 22 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a beloved son Gary and a sister Mildred Lasrsen.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Red” Myers after 61 years of marriage; sister, Virginia Bruffett of Thornton, Colorado; niece, Betty Sue Addy of Brighton, Colorado; and nephew, Larry Larsen of Columbus, Ohio.
