Betty Lou Rawlings, 76 of Amarillo passed away June 11, 2013. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bruce Clifton officiating. Inurnment will be on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Betty was born September 30, 1936 in Shamrock to Charlie and Mary Bohlar. She was raised in Shamrock. On June 30, 1967 Betty married William Rawlings in Wellington. She was a caretaker, taking care of her parents and her sister, all in the last years of their lives. Her pride and joy was her grandson Shane. Betty really liked taking Shane to the movies and she loved to read. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings. Betty is survived by her husband, William Rawlings of Amarillo; daughter, Peggy Rawlings-Avant of Amarillo; grandson, Shane Avant and wife Stefanie of Amarillo; and by her great-grandson, Gunner Avant of Amarillo.
