Beverly was born on February 15, 1938 in Amarillo, Texas to Olan Craig. After losing her mother at a young age, her father married his second wife Opal, who would help care for the family. She spent her entire life in Amarillo. She married Orrin Chism and together they raised three children. She worked for Save A Stop for many years, where her biggest accomplishment was that she maintained perfect attendance for 17 years straight, having never taken a personal day off. Her daughter Dawn would work for her at the warehouse, and according to Dawn, she was worked harder than anyone because her mom was the supervisor. She and Orin owned many local bars in Amarillo, most notably, Buckles Lounge on Interstate 40; which Dawn took over following her mother stepping down.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orin, and daughter Sharla. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Tim Chism, daughter Dawn Romines; grandchildren Dusty Romines, Jenny and Thomas Chism, great grandchildren Rowdy Romines and Payton Pennington; sister Kewpi Bay and many other loving friends and family members.
