Calvin L. Judd of Amarillo passed away July, 29, 2021. He was born February 22, 1947 in Shamrock, Texas. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1965 and obtained his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from WTSU in Canyon, TX after serving two tours of duty in the United States Navy. He married the love of his Janice Trimble on September 2, 1966.
Calvin was a Christian man who proudly served the Lord, he was a deacon at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church. He was quick to lend a hand to anyone and everyone in need never asking for anything in return. He had a passion for restoring Trans Am’s. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. In his younger years, he was a member of the bands Southern Exposure and Laredo and later in life, he was a member of the praise team at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church. He proudly owned and operated Maaco Paint and Body Works in Amarillo. He worked for XCEL Energy as a computer programmer analyst for 35 years, retiring in 2014. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Jewell Judd; and a younger brother, Randall Judd and his wife, Teresa. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Janice Judd; son Mike
Judd and wife Tara; sister Gale Jones; grandchildren; Michael Judd and wife Haley; Madison Wilbourn and husband Seth; Collin Judd; Timmy Judd; Tyler Judd and Chelsi Judd. Great grandchildren; River, Ruger, Riggins and Ryatt Judd; Kadence Wilbourn; and Scarlett Judd; sister in law Glenda Ray along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life for Calvin will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, 3315 Hancock, Amarillo, Texas.
