I met Carl when he volunteered to let my students "tell his story" for our Veterans book about 6 years ago. I have treasured his friendship since, and was so honored to call this World War II veteran my friend. I will miss him at our Veterans program. Prayers of comfort knowing he will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
