Carl Copeland

Carl Copeland, 71 of Memphis, Texas passed away February 9, 2015. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Clyde Johnson and Darrell Roberts officiating. Carl was born November 14, 1943 in Collin Co, Texas to William and Johnnie Copeland. He married Clara Johnson on July 13, 1963 in Denton, Texas. Carl was an Assembly of God ordained minister for 32 years. He was also a master welder and wood worker. Carl loved to work with his hands and was a truly brilliant man. He was known as a jokester who loved to make people laugh, but at the same time he was an honest man who thought your word was your life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; one child and one brother. Carl is survived by his wife, Clara Copeland of Memphis; sons, Carl Edward Copeland, Jr. of Burleson, Charles Wayne Copeland and wife Guadalupe of Watts, Oklahoma and Christopher Lynn Copeland and wife Kimberly of Amarillo; daughter, Carla Diane Copeland of Waco; brother, Donald Lynn Copeland and wife Dorothy of Decatur; sisters, Emma Armstrong and husband Donald William of Farwell and Stella Mae Creek of Belin, New Mexico; also by his 5 grandchildren.
