Carl D. McLaughlin, 79 of Amarillo passed away March 20, 2015. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Great Plains Western Church, Hwy 287 Washburn, Texas with Pastor Royce Mason officiating. Carl was born June 4, 1935 in Laketon to Harris and Dallas McLaughlin. He married Gail Winters in 1959. Carl enjoyed racing cars, driving trucks, fishing, playing the lottery and horses. He dedicated his life to taking care of his wife and family. He was an amazing friend, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Carl was a man who would help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Carl is survived his wife , Gail McLaughlin of the home; 3 sons, Tony Reeves and wife Lavonna of Midland, Les McLaughlin and wife Debbie of Amarillo and Mayo McLaughlin and wife Sue of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Leota Crabb, Ladybug Slaughter and Sandy Morton and husband Buck, all of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to Boys Ranch.
