Cary B. Gentry

Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Doctor Stan Cosby officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors.

Cary B. Gentry was born January 17, 1932 in Hollis, OK to Owen Cleveland and Annie Lucille Gentry. She grew up in Hollis and Pampa. Cary moved to Amarillo and began working at Southwestern Bell as an operator and supervisor in 1955. She retired March 14, 1985. Cary loved working puzzles and spending time with her sisters, nieces and nephews. She was a very sweet and gentle woman who will be dearly missed by her family. The family would like to thank Nurse Elise Conner for her loving care to our Aunt Cary.

Cary is survived by a sister, Patsy Boykin; two nieces, Karen Robertson and husband Jeff and Sharon Cook; two great-nieces, Kourtney Johnson and husband Wade and Kalissia Hinson and husband James; a great-great nephew, Wyatt Johnson and two great-great nieces, Alyssa Gipson and Addison Robertson.

Cary was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Velma Sherling, Ona Martin, Wanda Whisenhunt and Glenda Gentry and a great-nephew, John Cook.

In lieu of flowers the suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
