

Chad Alan Farner, 39 of Amarillo passed away March 31, 2016. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Pathpoint Fellowship Church, 6215 Canyon Dr. Officiating will be Chad’s cousins, Caleb Crouch of First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells and Ricky Griffin of Trinity Fellowship Amarillo. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Chad Alan Farner was born July 17, 1976 in Amarillo to Richard Farner and Debra Taylor Farner. He attended Caprock High School and graduated from Randall High School in 1994. Chad also attended Amarillo College for one year. Chad married Tasha Weldon on February 14, 2000 in Amarillo. He worked at Great Western Directories for five and a half years and for AIG for 14 years. Chad was also owner of All Game Apparel and enjoyed providing uniforms to many area sports teams. He was known for his generosity and love for others. He loved his daughters with his whole heart and was very proud of the young women they are becoming. He enjoyed watching his daughters participate in theater arts, basketball and track. Chad also enjoyed riding his Harley with his special friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone. Chad was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rev. Alvin E. Taylor, C.David Farner and J.L. Pipes. Chad is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Cali D’Ann Farner and Caitlyn Jade Farner both of the home; mother, Debra Taylor of Lubbock; father, Rick Farner and wife Rhonda of Lubbock; grandmothers, Reba Pipes of Lubbock and June Farner of Amarillo; step-sister, Mandy Fuller and husband James of Lubbock; and also by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
