Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Chaplain Scott Raines officiating.

Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.

Christine was born May 2, 1925 in South Plains to Charlie and Rosa Lee Hunter. She was raised in Estelline on the family farm pulling cotton and helping with chores. On October 14, 1944 she married Jose “Joe” Perez. Christine retired from the family owned and operated service station in the 80’s. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and camping with friends and family, listening and dancing to country music and cooking Sunday supper for her family. Christine loved her family above all and touched the lives of anyone she met. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jose “Joe” Perez and a son, Lonnie Joe Perez.

Christine is survived by a son, Charles Perez and wife Ethel of Shamrock; a sister, Charlene Scarborough of Sulfur Springs; five grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, sisters and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
