Cleburne Eugene “Dub” Dillon, 88, of Leander, TX, passed on Friday, April 21, 2017, in Cedar Park from complications of a recent illness. Mr. Dillon was born July 31, 1928, in Quanah to Newton Dillon and Ina Bybee Dillon.
He proudly served his country in the Navy, including participating in atomic testing in the Bimini Islands and receiving the World War II Victory medal. He was a dedicated member of International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, a 32nd Degree Mason of Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, and a Shriner. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Like most, he had his challenges, but he helped many people and donated regularly to many charities, especially the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Dillon; his second wife, Peggy Dillon; his youngest daughter, Kieghen McKillip “Laquetta;” a sister, Juanita Bellamy; and both brothers, Robert Fowler and John “JB” Dillon.
