

Andy was born in Pennsylvania, where he spent his early years working on dairy farms before graduating from high school. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing tours in Vietnam and Germany. During his service, he was wounded while serving in Vietnam, a testament to his courage and dedication. In 1973, Andy moved to Amarillo and began working as a recruiter at Harrington Plaza and later at Sunset Center. It was in Amarillo that he met and married the love of his life, Melody Sue Duncan. The couple spent 10 years in Fort Sill, where they welcomed their only child, Jonathan. They later moved to Fort Bliss before eventually returning to Amarillo. After retiring from military service, Andy continued to serve his community through his work at T.S.T.I. in building maintenance. He later finished his working career as a custodian and school bus driver for Highland Park Independent School District.
Andy is survived by his loving wife, Melody Sue (Duncan) Anderson; his son, Jonathan Duncan Anderson; one brother, Bobby Anderson; and two sisters, Marj Jayne and Marilyn Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather.
Andy will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his strong work ethic, and his devotion to his family. His life was one of service, resilience, and quiet strength, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
