Danny was educated in Amarillo, Texas, and attended Palo Duro High School. He later united in marriage to Chrestine Nickerson, and to this union one child was born, Courtney “Papoose” Nickerson. Although the marriage later dissolved, they remained lifelong friends. Danny was also blessed with another son, Danny Brigham Jr., born to Gwendolyn Norris of Baltimore, Maryland.

After attending church, he happily shared the good news with loved ones. Danny also shared a special inside joke with his sister: whenever too much time had passed without speaking, they would say, “No news is good news.”
Danny leaves to grieve his loss and celebration of life; his biological Mother Dr. Elvira Green-Maxwell and husband John, his sister Joanne Brown and husband Ocie, his sons Danny Brigham Jr. and Courtney “Papoose” Nickerson and his beloved granddaughter, ZiKeria Ella Lamesha Nickerson (“Zi”).
