

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Glen McCathern of Prairie View Baptist Chapel officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
David was born May 8, 1935, in Amarillo to Elmer and Allie Cutsinger. He lived all of his life in Amarillo and got his education at Price College. David married Joan Thomas on Nov. 27, 1958, in Albuquerque, N.M. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating and fishing, but he really enjoyed riding his motorcycle. David rode with Top Wings Motorcycle club for many years.
He was a 32nd degree Mason. David was known for being quite the piano player. He had been playing piano since he was six years old and his grandchildren loved to watch and hear him play. David was also an exceptional carpenter. Most of all, his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Lee Cutsinger.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Cutsinger of Amarillo; a daughter, Chantel McCown and husband Kent of Amarillo; a son, David Cutsinger Jr. of Houston; three grandchildren, Sasha Hammerbeck, Nikki Sandoval and husband Jimmie and Shasta Bowers and husband Jonathan; six great-grandchildren; several nieces; a special nephew; and cousins.
