David’s favorite activities included spending time with family including his church family. He cherished the meals with his nephew, Caleb’s family after church every Sunday. He loved boating, fishing and playing card games or dominoes. He liked going to the car races with his sister. He enjoyed riding motorcycles which included dirt bikes in his younger years with his brothers and evolved into a Goldwing and BMW that he enjoyed riding with his nephew Jim. His last motorcycle was a vintage scooter that he loved riding around town with his best friend Connie Flewelling. In 2019, David had the privilege to attend the Honor Flight for veterans to Washington D.C. It was on this trip that he made new friends with other veterans and enjoyed meeting them for lunch regularly.

He was a kind man who would do anything for anyone and always had a pocket full of mints to hand out to children he met along the way.
He will be extremely missed on this earth by many, including his cat Ginger, but we know he is rejoicing in the presence of his Lord.
