David Allen “PaPa” Mitchell, Died at age 71 on December 27, 2020. He was born in Amarillo and married Debbie Gillmore January 5, 1970. He served four years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Roosevelt. After the service he went to work at Santa Fe Railroad where he retired in 2011 after 39 years. David was a loving, kind and a family man like no other. His laugh was unforgettable and a man amongst men.
David is preceded in death by his son, Guss Mitchell and a sister, Lynn Terry of Orangefield, TX.
He is survived by his wife Debbie of the home, a son, John David, five grandchildren; Skyler, Shawn, Brittany “Suggie”, Hunter and Jaecie “JJ”; five great grandchildren, Keaton, Kolby, Kazleigh, Brynlee and Autumn; Sisters, Pete Gregg, Rennice Davis, Terry Segura and Jackie Acker, a brother John Mitchell Terry, Uncle Jack, Aunt Barbara and Aunt Audrey.
The graveside service will be officiated by Mike Kelley of Riverview Baptist Church in Borger, TX.
