Deloris Ivy

Deloris Ivy, 73 of Amarillo passed away June 4, 2015. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery North Mausoleum Chapel with Arnold Green officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Deloris was born May 16, 1942 in Gorman, Texas to Leonard and Evelyn Green. She married Curtis Ivy on May 23, 1959 and they were married for 55 years. Curtis passed away May 16, 2014. Deloris worked as a nurse at the VA Hospital for many years. She was very active in the Native American Community here in Amarillo. Deloris loved listening to “Coast to Coast” on 710 AM radio. She also enjoyed collecting postcards and stamps. Deloris was also a big animal lover. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Ivy and her parents. Deloris is survived by her sons, Curtis Arnold Ivy and wife Rebecca, Gordon Allen Ivy and wife Noo, both of Amarillo and Prasong Buranakitipinyo of College Station; brother, Arnold Green of Jasper; sister, Helen Dabbs of Point, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Ivy, Darcey Clegg and Melissa Carlson; also by her great-grandchildren Kyler Carlson and Lauryn Ivy. The family suggest memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Wat Lao Budharam, 4695 State Highway 136 Amarillo, Texas 79108.
