Diana Simpson

Diana Kay Simpson of Amarillo, Texas passed away February 12, 2021.

She was born October 23, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas to Roy and Glendell Tims. She attended Palo Duro High School where she met her high school sweetheart Stanley Simpson. They were married March 30, 1974. Diana was a loving wife, mother and grandmother (Mamaw). Her hobbies included antique shopping, various arts and crafts, working on her yard and traveling to the mountains. She loved her family and cherished her grandbabies. She always wanted boys so her daughter’s gave her five grandsons and one gorgeous granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her father Roy Tims; Brother Robert Tims and father-in-law Chester Simpson.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Stanley; her daughters Melissa Garcia and husband Robert Jr; and Darcy Simpson, her mother Glendell Tims and mother-in-law Lolly Simpson. Sister Glenda Cox and husband Donald and sister-in-law Trish Lanham; Brother-in-law Rodney Simpson and wife Kala. Grandchildren Robert Garcia III, Anthony Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Chance Simpson, Lennox Simpson, and Meredith Frederick. Nextdoor neighbor and confidant Angie Baca, many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in the honor to Don Harrington Cancer Center.

We lived next door to Simpson family for over 15 yrs.Our kids grew up together and we had really great times with them. We shared many birthday parties for our kids .This one hurts alot.You will be missed

I have never met a sweeter woman, if you needed anything she was there. I will never forget they way she always made her opinion known good or bad she didn't care you were gonna know what she thought. She truly was an amazing woman and will be missed. Diana....I've known you all my life. To say that we were all just neighbors doesn't even come close..we were all family . From the Pitts, Angie, Margie.... growing up with your kids, I have memories forever & we have all always watched out for eachother. I will miss you forever. Love Mary Dawn

we lived next door to the Simpson family for over 15 years.our kids grew up together and we had many great times with them .we moved to Florida in 1989 and we came home couple times and had to go see them. Diane was a very sweet lady and will be missed .my prayers and love go out to the Simpson family
