D.L. Lack

D.L. Lack, 89, of Amarillo passed away Sunday, August 05, 2018.

Mr. Lack will be available for visitation on Tuesday, August 07, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 08, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Calvin Powell presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Evergreen.

D.L. was born on October 25, 1928 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Dud L., and Minnie Lack. He was a United States Marine who was stationed in Shanghai, Hawaii, and Guam as an F4U aircraft mechanic. After serving his country, he started Lack Transfer Trucking Company as an owner/operator. D.L. would go on to operate his business for fifty years before retiring.

D.L. is preceded in death by his wife Susie Inez “Peggy” Lack, his parents Dud and Minnie; brothers R.W. and Darrell Lack, and sister Arvil Coleman. Those left to cherish his memories are his very special friend Elsie Webb, his daughters Sharon Liotart and husband Hank, and Terri Flores and Husband Carlos; his grandsons Cory Flores and wife Allison, and Johnny Liotart; and his great granddaughters Callie and Cara Flores.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to the Veteran’s Association in honor of D.L. Lack.
