Don Kinnison

Don Kinnison, age 83, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Don was born in Amarillo, Texas to John and Reba Griffin. A visitation for Don will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell Street, Amarillo, Texas 79109. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas with military honors provided by Volleys for Veterans. After services the family will be at TownePlace (6807 W I-40) until 5 pm.

Don proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a Minister of the Gospel for 25 years and was also a manager of Snook & Aderton Heating and Air Conditioning for 25 years. Don was a true master craftsman in the traditional craft world. Don favorite pastime was being a grandparent, he loved every minute that he spent having fun with his grandkids they were his pride and joy. Don will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

He is preceded in death by his father John Kinnison who passed away September 1998, his mother Reba Kinnison who passed away December 2008, and his sister Sherlyn Kinnison who passed away July 1985.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife Linda Kinnison his two sons Randy and wife Doretta and Danny and wife Lisa. His grandchildren Chase and Presley Kinnison along with many other family and friends.
