

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Services will at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Monsignor Harold Waldow officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Don was born July 7, 1927, in Guthrie, Okla. He married the love of his life, Mary Jane Purvis, on April 24, 1949, and soon began their marriage of 43 years. He was a loving husband and devoted family man.
In 1954, Don moved his family to the Texas Panhandle, and they soon settled in Amarillo in 1960.
Don worked for the Texas Comptroller’s tax office for more than 25 years, and was a active member in Knights of Columbus, Girl Scouts and PTA. He also was a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral.
When Don retired, he continued with accounting and tax preparation.
Don will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be forever in our hearts, and will live on in our memories.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jane, in 1992.
Survivors include six children, Donald A Miller Jr., Kathy Barrett and husband Rob, Cindy Barnett, Rosie Carroll and husband Art, Jeanette Kimbrough and husband Mike, and John Miller and wife Brenda. And we can’t forget the 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, so you can say he did leave his mark on the world.
The family will receive friends today following the rosary at the funeral home.
