

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Pampa with Jerry Bell officiating. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Doris was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Chickasha, Okla. She married Raymond Lloyd Conner on Oct. 17, 1943, in Fort Campbell, Kent. She and Raymond were married 49 years and six months. They lived in many different cities, including Pampa, Phillips Camp, Corpus Christi, Borger, Perryton, Odessa and Jakarta, Indonesia. Most recently, she was a resident of Ware Living Center in Amarillo.
She loved to sew, crochet, knit and make crafts found in her hundreds of craft books and magazines, which was just some of her many collections.
She also loved to paint in oils or water colors on whatever she got her hands on — canvas, blocks of wood, pieces of plywood, rocks and even clothes. She spent her life loving and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lloyd Conner; her parents, Susan Denton Barnett and John Wesley Barnett; and her stepmother, Lora Barnett.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Rae Walker and husband Gordon Russel of Spring; a son, Wesley Allen Conner and wife Lynda Denise of Amarillo; a daughter, Pamela Kaye Baker and husband Philip Wayne of Magnolia; three sisters, Melba June Barnett of Midwest City, Okla., Donna M. Smith of Moore, Okla., and Loretta Cavin of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother-in-law, Joseph Frank Conner of Pampa; a sister-in-law, Freddie June Conner Seitz of Pampa; nine grandchildren, Gordon Raymond Walker and wife Aline, Thomas Russell Walker and wife Brandy, Nancy S. Grant and Erich Kyle McGlaun, all of Spring, Kristin Rae Chrestman and husband Scott of Cedar Park, Angela Kaye Burk and husband Brian of Conroe, Ellen Leigh Rush and husband James of Anchorage, Alaska, and Karen Anne Hammett and husband Mike and Graham Wesley Conner, all
of Amarillo; 13 great-
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
