Doris was born July 29, 1924, in Boise City, Okla., to Samuel S. and Adaline Jones Sechler. She was a long time member of San Jacinto Assembly of God and was an avid quilter with the church. She married Leon Gibson on Dec. 20, 1942.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and a sister.
Doris is survuved by two sons, Floyd and Kay Gibson of Amarillo, and David and Ginger Gibson of Pflugerville; two daughters, Linda and James King of Houston, and Patricia and Gabriel Garcia of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
