

She was born on November 8, 1926, in Arkansas City to John and Carrie Parr.
Doris was raised in Arkansas City and graduated from high school in 1944. On March 4, 1945, she married the love of her life, Albert Tredway. In 1948, the couple moved to Amarillo with their two-year-old daughter, Rita. Albert worked as a truck driver for Co-op, while Doris began working at Summit Baptist Church in 1953. She later worked at Whites Auto in downtown Amarillo for many years. In 1985, Doris and Albert moved to Waco for Albert’s work before returning to Amarillo in 1994. Doris was a faithful member of Coulter Road Baptist Church, where she worshipped until Albert’s passing in 2016. In her later years, Doris resided in memory care until her peaceful passing.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rita Jones and Connie Haley; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Carrie Parr; her beloved husband, Albert Tredway; her brother, Floyd Parr; and her sisters, Maxine Flanigan, Joyce Webb, Darlene Fields, Benny Jamesson, and Tammy Brock.
