Dorothy Jean Crabtree

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Jay Graham officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Dorothy Jean Travis was born June 12, 1939, in Ralls to Curtis and Docie Mae Travis. She married the love of her life Buck Crabtree Sept. 30, 1969. They enjoyed their life together until his passing in November of 2000. Dorothy loved planting new flowers every season and rescuing animals. She enjoyed bowling in the NWBA for many years. She and her daughter competed in many national tournaments. Dorothy was always remembered by her beautiful smile and her sense of humor. She was employed by Furr's Grocery on 24th and Grand as a cashier. She retired after 40 years of service. Even 30 years later her customers would see her and give her a hug and tell her how much they loved and missed her. Dorothy had a gracious and spitfire spirit. She enjoyed living life, and she loved her children. They were the sunshine in her soul. Her strength, independence and determination were an inspiration to her family. She will be missed more than words can say. Our lives will not be the same without her.

She was preceded in death by her father, her mother and her husband, who have come to walk her home.

Survivors include a brother, Wayne Travis of Amarillo; two sons, Jackie Gann and wife Carol of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Randy Gann and wife Teresa of Amarillo; two daughters, Cindy Bagwell and husband Quin and Sheila Gillalan and husband Nathan of Borger; her grandchildren, Darra and husband Jack Collison of Sandpoint, Landon Gann and wife Diana of Flower Mound, Jenna and husband Seth Young of New Braunfels, Jarrett Gann and wife Ashley of Coeor d'Alene, Idaho, Kaytie and husband Zac Ammons of Pampa and Ashleigh Duffy of Grapevine and Destiny and Chassity Gillalan of Borger; and six great-grandchildren, Brielle, Jackson, Hason, Ella, Olivia and Addi.
