Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Childer's Place Chapel. A second celebration of life service will be Sept. 17 in Lake City, Colo. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St.
Dorothy was the "Storytime Lady" on radio, freelance writer, batik artist, owner of Slumgullion Gift Gallery in Lake City for 25 years and an accomplished quilter. She and her husband were members of the Community Presbyterian Church in Lake City before they moved to Amarillo in 2006.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James E. Main; four children, Jeremy Main of Bethesda, Md., Steven Main of Loveland, Colo., Peter Main of Lake City and Gail Main Frick of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Community Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 184, Lake City, CO 81235.
