

Edith Louise Davis 81 of Amarillo went to be with the Lord on 10/07/2021. Edith was born January 9,1940 In Paris Texas to Jefferson Bascom Dickey and Gladys Marie Dickey (Roberts). She attended Palo Duro High School and Amarillo College. Edith married Henry "Dan" Daniel Davis, December 19, 1955 in Amarillo Texas. Edith met Dan while working at Dairy Queen as a CarHop. They fell in love and became husband and wife in 1955. They left for their honeymoon and spent the first night together as husband and wife in Dalhart, Texas. Then they spent time in Colorado and then headed to the Black Hills in South Dakota. One of her favorite memories was their honeymoon. This honeymoon lasted for 49 years. They are now together with Jesus. They had four wonderful children together during the 10 years, "Our Dan", spent in the Air Force in various states. Edith furthered her education in accounting and worked in the cattle and oil industries. She retired from ASARCO after 24 years.
She was a member of the Desk and Derrick Club, Texas Association of Financial and Tax Specialists, Republican Delegate in 1996, and a Hospice Volunteer. Enjoyed Social Media and posting daily scriptures, Computer games, Bowling, Bible Study, Softball, Jazza, and Gardening.
Edith was a devout Christian, God shinned His light into her heart in the summer of 1986. She was fun-loving, with a great sense of humor, very direct, hard working and a super organizer. Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Survivors include: Daughters: Guruparwaz Khalsa, husband Jagatguru Khalsa (Raytown, Missouri), Debra Kay White, husband James W. White Jr. (Amarillo, Tx), Son: Kenneth “Mark” Davis, wife Brenda Davis (Midland, Tx), Sisters: Carlene Mitchell (Amarillo, TX), and Delores Justice ( Arkansas). 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
