

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Janelle was born Oct. 17, 1934, near Floydada to Geneva Carter and Lomie Franklin Carter. She grew up in Summerfield and Hereford, but lived the majority of her life in Amarillo. She married Jack Ratcliff Flowers on June 12, 1954, in Clovis, N.M.
During her career, she served in the telephone service industry and as an account administrator. She spent the majority of her adult life as a dedicated wife, loving parent, and compassionate friend. She had an infectious sense of humor and loved to help others. Her hobbies included doting on grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while still having time to occasionally play bingo or watch motor racing. She was a fantastic cook who loved to try or invent new recipes. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Lester Franklin Carter; and a sister, Naoma Faye Lee.Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Denise Butler of Columbus, Ga., and Darla Ratcliff McCloy of Amarillo; a son, Jeffrey Ronald Flowers and wife Cynthia Ann Flowers of Amarillo; two brothers, Oliver “Dale” Carter of San Antonio and Wesley David Carter of Kenner, La.; three sisters-in-law, Janice Carter, Connie Carter and Nell Coulson; five grandchildren, Jacob McCloy, Ashley Perez and husband Carlos, Brayson McCloy, Danielle Webb and husband Brandon and Blake Nickerson; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden McCloy, Devon Webb, Aidan Perez and Devanee Webb.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas TX 75284.
