Ed served his country in the U.S. Army as a radio operator. He was a long haul truck driver for many years. He was a faithful servant to the Amarillo Police Department; he was much loved as the longest running volunteer there where he was better known as “Ed the Shred”. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and his cat. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo. He was also a member of the local teamsters along with various other lodges. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded by his parents; Sister Marjorie
He is survived by a niece Mary Pattengale and husband Mike of Albuquerque, New Mexico along with many friends
