Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 East I-40 with Pastor Leon Green officiating.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East.
Etrille was born November 27, 1916 in Roby to John Elisher Williams and Isla Iona Jackson. She grew up in Abilene and married Thomas Rayford Warr Jr. February 6, 1940 in Borger. The couple moved to Amarillo in 1953 where Emma worked as a church secretary and pianist. She loved composing music for the piano and writing christian music. Etrille also loved writing poems and composed a book entitled, “Miracles, Miracles, Miracles” which was her life’s story. She had a steadfast love for children to learn about Jesus and was involved with child evangelism for many years. Etrille was very inspiring, loving, kind, gentle and will be missed deeply.
Etrille was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters, Lataine Williams, Reba Hay and Ruby Lee Butler and a brother, Clifton Williams.
Etrille is survived by her husband Thomas Rayford Warr, Jr.; 2 sons, Tom Warr and wife Sherry and Kent Warr and wife Kathy both of Amarillo; a daughter, Janice Thompson and husband Cliff of Corona Del Mar, CA; 2 sisters, Glenda Eaton of San Francisco, CA and Gynelle Sumner and husband David of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 30, 2014, at the funeral home from 6-8pm
