He was born October 21, 1940 in Forgan, OK to Lawrence and Clora Smith.
Richard was a Barber and owned the Avondale Barber Shop for over 50 years.
He was an Army Veteran serving in Europe in the early 1960’s.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dena Allen Smith of Amarillo, TX, son Brett A. Smith
of Amarillo, TX, daughter Megan Smith of Beaver, OK, and grandchildren Sophia Witherby and Ethan Smith.
