I delivered Meals on Wheels to Gene for the past few years. I came to love him. I know he always looked forward to seeing me on Wednesdays. We used to hug, and then when COVID happened, we just bumped elbows. He always had a twinkle in his pretty blue eyes, and he always made sure to stand up to say hello. I am going to miss him.

We loved Eugene and had many good memories of him! He was at our home in Rolling Hill for every church group party we had. He liked to have fun and he brought a bank with gray hair, bald on top, shaped like an old man with some rattling money in it and gave to Joe at Joe's retirement party from SWB telephone company. It still sets on Joe's dresser to this day even though Joe has gone to Heaven! Love and sympathy goes out to Denise and Mark and the rest of the family.
