Ignacio and her children were waiting to welcome her home. Rosary will
be said January 14, 2022 at 1:30p with Funeral Mass to follow at 2:00p. Mass of the Christian
Burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born June 2, 1931, in Tucumcari, N.M. to Marcello and Beatrice
Valverde. Felice met her soulmate Ignacio Sena and they were married
on February 9, 1948. While Ignacio proudly served his country in the
United States Air Force, Felice did the best she could making a home for
her children and being the glue for her family. “Granny” as she was
affectionally known by her grandkids was loving and could make a
mean tortilla, no one could make them like her, it was because they were
made with lots of love. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church
and the Christian Mothers. Granny loved her family and would help
anyone in need when she was able to travel, she enjoyed going to see
kids and grandkids. Felice enjoyed playing bingo and Yahtzee on
Saturday nights you could find her watching Golden Girls while
enjoying a coke and some Fritos. She was a woman of many words,
some good some not so good, but you knew that she loved you no matter
what. She was the one that everyone asked to babysit, because you knew
that your baby would be cuddled, loved, and held all day even though
she said she didn’t. She had a granny’s touch when you needed a big
hug, she was there with no judgement just a hug and a sweet kiss.
Granny loved her family, and she will be deeply missed.
Granny when you get to heaven give grandpa, Aunt Celina, Uncle Tony, Josh, and
Manuel a hug and tell them how much we miss them and can’t wait to
see them again.
The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers,
calls and visits but due to COVID the family will gather privately after
the graveside service.
