Frances Chaparro, 68, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2024. Born on July 29, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, she was the beloved daughter of W.G. and Aurora Chaparro. Frances grew up in Amarillo, where she met her lifelong partner, Victor Kinikin. Together, they established their home in Panhandle, Texas, raising their cherished family, which included their children Stacy, Bernice, and Victor, who were the center of their lives. Frances was deeply involved in her church community, expressing her joy through singing and playing her tambourine. As her children grew older, she pursued a career in public service, obtaining a jailer dispatcher certification, and later worked as an area supervisor at Allsup's, eventually transitioning to a rewarding role in home health care. In her retirement, Frances found happiness in spending quality time with family and friends, and she had a special bond with her dog, Mia, whom she loved to spoil.
She is survived by her son, Victor A. Kinikin II and his wife Pam; daughters Bernice Lopez and Stacy Haythe with her husband Brian; sister Dolores Chaparro; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Kinikin, who passed away in 2003; her parents, Wistermundo (2004) and Aurora (1995) Chaparro; siblings Maria Chaparro (2003), W.G. Chaparro Jr. (2004), and David Chaparro (2020); and her daughter Andrea Kinikin, who passed in 2003.
Frances Chaparro will be remembered for her loving spirit, dedication to her family, and her unwavering faith.
