Gerri passed away on her 47th wedding anniversary to Loyel. Gerri was a longtime resident of Amarillo. She was a bookkeeper and a housewife who loved her family. She raised three children and helped raise two of her grandchildren.
Gerri adored her grandchildren and looked forward to playing games and spending time with them. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Naomi Dobbs; her husband, Loyel, in 2003; and two granddaughters, Nicole Russell in 1993 and Dakota Russell in 2007.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Russell of Amarillo and Ricky Stone of Austin; a daughter, Marsha Leslie and husband Rick of Paducah; five grandchildren, Ricky Piggott, Delisha Webb, Misty Thomason, Matthew Thomason and Cheyenne Russell; and five great-grandchildren.
