Trudy married her loving husband Tommy at First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo on December 28, 1946.
Trudy was a lifelong member of the Texas PTA’s – Amarillo Council of PTA’s, Amarillo Chapter of Eastern Star, and President of the Federated Women’s Clubs and a member of the Red Hat Society. She took great pride in her being Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and most importantly Trudy was honored to be a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo.
Trudy was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Buford, parents Will and Bessie Gowdy, sister Bessie Lee Simmerman and sister-in-law Edith Buford Pierce.
Trudy leaves on this earth her daughter Sue and husband Bill Davis of Amarillo , TX , two sons, T. Mark and wife Dena Cobb ( D.K.) Buford of Tennessee, Bill and wife Jana of Amarillo, TX, and three granddaughters, Kristen Buford Scoffield , Lisa Davis Newcomb , Tisha Buford Ahrens, two grandsons , Jade Buford , Leslie Buford, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
