Glenna Haywood

Glenna Ruth Foster Haywood was taken by our Heavenly Father to her eternal home, Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors for a viewing from 5-7pm, Friday, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Glenna was born on July 28th, 1937 to Glen C and Mary Lois Foster in Amarillo Texas. She graduated high school at Amarillo High after spending most of her senior year in Borger Texas. Glenna was retired from Amarillo College having worked in the Dental Hygiene program and later Personnel services.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lois Foster; her only sibling, Billie F. Foster; her husband, James H Haywood, and great-granddaughter, Makinna Kemp.

She is survived by her children, Karen and husband, Fred Kemp of Amarillo, Tina and husband Larry Kemp of Graham Texas and son, Marc Patenaude and partner David Coughran of St. Louis, Missouri. She was "Granny" to 5 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was a member of Chaparral Baptist Church.

We would like to sincerely thank BSA hospice of the Southwest nursing staff for their excellent compassion and care. And special thanks to Sandy her nurse, and Thomas, of pastoral service for his spiritual nurturing and his dedication and the time he spent lifting up our family in prayer. We had awesome visitations!

Also to the Standridge family ... her bestie friend in life ...Billie and those Standridge daughters who came and visited and supported her in prayer and love all the days before and after hospice, and many years of beautiful friendship.
