Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Guy was born April 11, 1936, in Henry County, Ind., to Guy Thomas Smith Sr. and Sarah Myrtle Smith. He graduated from New Castle High School in New Castle, Ind. He married Arline Lively on Feb. 20, 1960.
Guy worked for ICX for 15 years. He later worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Arline; a son, Andrew Thomas Smith; and a sister, Rosemary New.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Smith of Fort Worth and Larry Smith and wife JaNice and Greg Smith and wife Cindy, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Karen Smith Wiley and husband Mike of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Smith Davis of Amarillo; six grandchildren, A.J. Smith, Trevor Smith, Sasha Smith, Dustin Smith, Erika Wiley and Skyler Wiley; three sisters, Bernice Shelton and husband Levi of Spiceland, Ind., Phyliss Hicks of Indianapolis and Debbie Eden and husband Bill of Kokoma, Ind.
