

Born in Clovis, New Mexico, to Herbert and Gertrude Potts, Gwenlyne lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and devotion to those she loved. She was a kind and generous woman whose greatest joy was her family, as well as the many beloved pets she cared for throughout her life.
Gwenlyne devoted many years to public service through her work with Children’s Protective Services, where she became the first female regional director. Deeply committed to the welfare of children, she approached her work not merely as a profession, but as a calling. Her unwavering dedication and compassionate spirit positively impacted countless children and families throughout her career.
An avid reader, Gwenlyne also enjoyed quiet moments spent with books and proudly achieved the accomplishment of becoming a published author.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Gertrude Potts, and her brother-in-law, Bill Flowers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Daryl Pike and wife Connie, and Jeffrey Pike and wife Rita; her granddaughter, Simone Dale and husband Andy; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Juliana and a sister Joan Flowers.
Gwenlyne will be remembered for her strength, grace, generosity, and the enduring love she shared with her family and all who knew her.
