H.C. "Bryan" Dawson was born at home in Harmon County Oklahoma April 4, 1930. He grew up in Hollis, Oklahoma, and Madera, CA. Moved to Canyon, Texas in 1947. He proudly served our country in the Korean War while in the Air Force. While in the Air Force he met and married his wife, Norma Val Jean Rowsell. He was stationed in St John’s Newfoundland, Canada Pepperrell AFB where he and Norma met and married. Bryan graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BS in Geology 1959.
He owned and operated his own business, Dawson Operating Company. Bryan loved flying. He received his pilot’s license when he was 17 in California even before High School graduation. He also loved golf. He and Norma spent many 4th of July's in Los Alamos, New Mexico playing in a local golf tournament.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eula Mae Griffin Dawson and Henry Clay Dawson his wife Norma Dawson and his oldest son Neil Clay Dawson.
He is survived by is children Cindy Dawson McNicholas and husband, Thomas of Checotah OK; Johnny Bryan Dawson and husband, Tanner Voskamp, Palm Springs CA; Scott Dawson and wife, Mihwa, Santa Fe NM; Christy Thomas, Palm Springs CA; brother Lynn Dawson of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
