Harold Everett Emery 88 of Amarillo passed away May 2, 2016. He was born July 22, 1927 to Pittman and Ruby Emery at Abernathy, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp in 1946, where he served in WWII. He was married to Venera Mitchel on October 20, 1946. In 1990 he retired from the Department of Public Safety at the rank of Sergeant in the License and Weight Division.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Venera Emery, daughter Denise Emery of Abilene, Texas; sons Terry Emery of Houston; David Emery of San Antonio; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
