From birth to 3 years of age he lived in Duncan and his family moved and farmed south of Hastings, Oklahoma where he attended and graduated from the Hastings schools. In 1944 he joined the Army and was destined to be part of the invasion force on D-Day but because of a life threatening sickness he was hospitalized and later sent on what was thought as an invasion of Japan. He married Frances Evans of Waurika, Oklahoma on March 16, 1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He farmed and worked for Halliburton's for six years and later moved to Amarillo in 1959 where he started working for Pantex where he later retired in 1990. He came to know the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior in 1960 and attended Forest Hill Assembly of God, (Harvest Life Church) and served as a teacher, a Deacon, Treasurer, Royal Ranger Commander, visitation and served in many other roles. He loved ministering in Retirement Homes, street ministry, Faith City Mission, and going on Mission trips. He was admitted to the V.A. hospital where he received outstanding care and service from the team of doctors, nurses and administration from 2009-2013. Harvey celebrated 61 years of marriage. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ruth Hight and one brother, Jay Burum.
