She was born August 28, 1924 to Toy and Lois Robinson on a farm in Quail, Texas. She married Bill DePauw September 16, 1942. He preceded her in death June 18, 1988. She worked hard all her life on the farm, then at Penneys for over forty years. She loved being around others and never met a stranger. Ila always thought of others before herself. She loved to feed the birds and other critters that came into her yard. Ila loved flowers and working in the yard. She was the neighborhood watchdog and was like family to all her neighbors and friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out, with her beautiful blue eyes and red hair. Mother was a wonderful cook and we will sure miss her cornbread dressing this year. As her granddaughter Anessa says, “God will have His hands full with this one. Never still a minute. She will bring laughter and love to all.” We love you mema to the moon and back. Rest in peace sweet mama till we see you again. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. The family would like to thank all her beloved neighbors for their kindness and the staff of Southwest Hospice for caring for a one of a kind sweet mother.
