Irene Munselle Taylor

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Thrifty to John William and Ida Munselle. She married Thomas J. Taylor on Jan. 5, 1942, in Coleman; he preceded her in death in 2001.

Mrs. Taylor was a loving, nurturing spirit who touched the lives of more than 20 children cared for in her home, while raising three children of her own.

Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Hart; two sons, Roland Taylor and wife Linda and Jerry Taylor, all of Amarillo; a brother, Ira Lee Munselle of Oklahoma; a sister, Joyce Reese of Arizona; five grandchildren, Michael Hart and wife Brandi, Lacy Callas and husband John, Marvin Taylor, Eddy Taylor and Kimberly Hermesmeyer; nine great-grandchildren, Sterling Hart, Gunner Hart, Taylee Hart, Tanner Callas, Lori Taylor, Cody Taylor, Logan Taylor, Austin Strate and Bailey Hermesmeyer, all of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Munselle and John Arthur Munselle, and a sister, Modena Pounds.
