Jack Provence, 86, of Amarillo,Texas, passed away August 1, 2026. Born August 4, 1939 in Clarksville, Texas to Leon and Adele Provence, Jack was the owner and operator of Provence Painting, which he founded in 1959 with a step ladder and his station wagon. Over the decades he built the business to a peak of 90 employees and retired in 2020. He married Rita Provence in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Provence; children Carl Arthur, Kathy Gensler, Sheryl Arnold, Mary Provence, Cody, Christian Hoyt, Michael Hoyt, and Regan Provence; many grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Derek Provence and his brother Glen Provence.Jack will be honored at a Celebration of Life at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6969 East I-40, Amarillo, Texas, on August 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
