James Reese Emmert, 40 of Amarillo passed away November 23, 2016. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. James Reese Emmert, 40 passed away after a long struggle with a heart condition while being surrounded by his family and friends. Reese was born on March 6, 1976 in Shamrock to James and Jeanette Emmert. He was a 1994 graduate of Tascosa High School. Reese married Melissa Dawn Helsley on July 24, 1998 in Amarillo. He worked most of his career for BNSF Railway as a welder and most recently as a corporate welding trainer. Reese’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and friends riding motorcycles, boating, camping, Fourth of July celebrations and helping people. He truly never met a person he didn’t like or wasn’t willing to help. Reese is survived by his wife Melissa Emmert, of Mansfield; his sons, Tyler Emmert and wife Sabrina of Amarillo and Keelin Emmert of Mansfield; daughter, Calissa Emmert of Amarillo; brother, Phillip Emmert and wife Andrea of Amarillo; and his parents, James and Jeanette Emmert of Amarillo.
