Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9th, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX. A memorial service will also be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 11th, at the Methodist Church of Lucas in Lucas, Kansas with interment to follow at the Lucas Cemetery.
James Henry Radina, age 73, of Amarillo, died in his home on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was born July 2, 1940 in Luray Kansas to Frank and Minnie Radina. Jim graduated from Lucas High School in Lucas Kansas. On July 24th, 1960 he was united in marriage to Royla Faye Radina. Jim was a loving husband and a doting father whose life served as a testament to Christ’s love. Raised on the family farm in Lucas, Jim maintained his farm work ethic throughout his life. Jim left the farm to build houses in Denver and later moved his young family to Chicago where he pursued a career in retail management. Jim moved his family back to a Kansas farm and then to Amarillo where he continued his career in retail management. He was retired at the time of his death. Jim was a kind and gentle and generous man who loved to laugh and tell stories. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fixing things, and metal detecting. He will be missed. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Royla Faye, of Amarillo. Daughter, Lorie Kay, of Amarillo, sons, Daren Wade and wife Annette, of Manhattan, KS, Gregory Hollis and wife Misty, of White Deer, TX, and Kevin Laine and wife Nicole, of Lubbock, TX. Sister Joan Reichart and husband Galen Reichart. Five grandchildren, Gabriella, Amelia, Josie, Scarlett, and Lucas. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to God’s Learning Channel.
