Janetta Lee Liston was born on May 27, 1935 in Texola, Oklahoma to Dewey Bryan and Veulah Dee (Gragg) Liston. Her teaching career spanned for 30 years in Hereford, Texas, Pampa, Texas and Amarillo.
She retired from Amarillo Schools in 1994. She spent her time buying and selling antiques and taking care of her grandchildren.
She loved the patio and flowers in the summer. These failed in comparison to her number one love, which was her grandkids. They were her complete and total joy.
Janetta was preceded in death by her husbands Wendell Maloney whom preceded her in death in February of 1975, and William “Sonny” Lowery whom preceded her in death in June of 2017; as well as her parents Dewey “Bud” and Veulah “Dee” Liston. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Dana Lowery and husband Rick of Amarillo, grandchildren Monica Sharp and husband Jon of Oak Point, TX, Dustin Ebenkamp and wife Sarah of Ogden, Utah, Jessica Gresham and husband Greg of Amarillo; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Margaret Perry of Carlsbad, NM, Anne Gipson of Amarillo; and many other loving family and dear friends.
