Born on October 4, 1946, in Amarillo to Horace Bullard and Daisy Bullard. JoAnn lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to her family. As a young girl, she was an active Brownie and Girl Scout, experiences that helped shape her caring heart, adventurous spirit, and lifelong love of the outdoors. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1965 and married the love of her life, Roger Dale Shelton, in January 1966. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 60 years of love, partnership, and cherished memories. JoAnn was a devoted homemaker who lovingly raised her family. Some of their happiest times were spent enjoying summers at Possum Kingdom Lake, creating memories that her family will treasure forever. She embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. JoAnn loved water skiing, boating, bowling, riding motorcycles, dancing, and traveling to the beach and the mountains. She proudly rode her own Harley-Davidson and owned three trikes. Although she had been riding for years, she didn't earn her motorcycle license until she was 60 years old—a testament to her adventurous spirit and determination. Those who knew her will always remember her infectious smile and the sweetest, most unforgettable laugh. Above all else, JoAnn adored her family. She found her greatest happiness in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Later in life, JoAnn became deeply involved in her church, where she found great joy, purpose, and lasting friendships. Her faith and her church family became an important part of her life.
JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, Roger Dale Shelton; her daughters, Mundy Lynn Corona and husband Mike, and Angie Louise Williams and husband Carl; her grandchildren, Taylor and Keith Quirk, Adam and Katie Rodriguez, Airan Romero, and Tuesday and Erick Morrison; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Xavier Rodriguez, Julian Rodriguez, Ava Clayburn, Couper Quirk, Charlee Quirk, Mila Romero, and Enoch Romero.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Bullard and Daisy Cooper, and her brother, Donnie Bullard.
JoAnn's legacy of love, laughter, faith, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
