

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday July 12, 2014 in First Family Church, 6101 S. Bell St. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Joe was born Sept. 12, 1944, in Banquete. He was raised in Hereford, Tx and then moved to Amarillo. He graduated from LABI in 1967. Joe worked for Paramount Supply/WestAir for 43 years. He met his spouse, Angie Gonzales of 46 years, in August 1963. They were married in October 1967.
Joe enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles and going to his kids and
grandkids activities, but he loved watching his grandkids play sports. His loyalty to young people did not go unnoticed he was known as Papa and Mr. G. He never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand no matter what the situation was.
As a man of God, he worshiped at Southlawn Assembly of God. He was a strong supporter of Caprock High School football, basketball and baseball programs, Texas Gold Baseball and West Texas Kings Basketball. He was the backbone of the family and leaves a strong legacy behind among his family and his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilario and Clara Guerrero.
Survivors include his loving wife, Angie Guerrero; his children, Leon Guerrero, Jennifer Guerrero, Lisa Guerrero and Jason Guerrero and wife Melinda; his grandchildren, Stephanie Copley, Michael Guerrero, Dallas Guerrero, Ashleigh Guerrero, Jonathan Guerrero, Daisha Johnson, Jason Guerrero Jr. and Jase Guerrero; a great-granddaughter, Mikayla Copley; and his siblings, Dora Ramirez, Eva Gonzales and husband Roland, Maria Paiz and husband Nash, Cato Guerrero and wife Clara, Alex Guerrero and wife Rosie and Lydia Guerrero.
